2005年度IEEE第27届生物医学工程国际年会将于9月1-4日在中国上海举行。这次会议将提供一次研究人员聚集的机会，以便教育工作者和来自全世界的学术领域和工业的开发者分享他们的研究结果并且交换想法(包括生物医学工程的全部领域)，并将计划组织有关生物医学工程新兴技术的特别预会议专题讨论会和小型专题讨论会，除此之外，还有一系列学生活动和社会计划，例如在上海本地和周围地区的旅行。
