Dr. Liu Quan's laboratory in the School of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering at Nanyang Technological University
is seeking a qualified person for TWO post-doctoral research fellow positions in the field of biophotonics (biomedical
optics). This laboratory focuses on the development of novel biomedical optics/biophotonics technology for medical
diagnostics. The successful candidate will be involved in the development of optical imaging and spectroscopy for
cancer diagnosis and biological science research. The candidate should have hand-on experience in handling optics and opto-electronic components or carrying out biophotonics research. The salary will be determined in accordance with
NTU's policy. The candidate is expected to start around Feb. 2013 or sooner. The initial contract will be one year and could be extended depending upon mutual interests. For more information about the lab, please visit

Qualifications:
The candidate should have a PhD degree in Engineering, Analytical Chemistry, Applied Physics/Biophysics, Optical
Engineering or related fields. Research experience in optical spectroscopy or related biophotonics areas is preferred.

Research Assistant Position in Biophotonics
Dr. Liu Quan's laboratory in the School of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering at Nanyang Technological University
is seeking a qualified person for one research assistant/project officer position in the field of biophotonics. This
laboratory focuses on the development of novel biomedical optics/biophotonics techniques for medical diagnostics.
The responsibilities of the project officer will include lab maintenance and participating in project development. The
person will have an opportunity to get trained in optical experiments, spectroscopic data analysis and clinical/animal
studies. The salary will be determined in accordance with NTU‘s policy. The initial contract will be one year and could be extended. A highly motivated candidate will have an opportunity to change to a PhD student. For more information

The candidate should have 1) Bachelor degree in engineering or relate fields; 2) some experience in the use of
